Founded by Lisa, Matt, and Ryan, Lappe began as a family ritual of making daily smoothies for ourselves packed with greens, fruits, and natural nutrients. One day, we realized our beloved dog deserved the same care and nourishment we were giving ourselves. What started as a homemade blend for our pup quickly grew into Lappe— a celebration of our deep love for dogs and our belief that man’s (and woman’s!) best friend deserves the very best.
Lappe is an exciting venture with a diverse, talented group of partners focused on bringing a simple luxury to life: fresh, health-conscious treats that dogs and their humans will both absolutely love.
Growing up, all of the dogs I knew were purpose-built. Retrievers retrieved birds. Shepherds kept the herd in line. Terriers took care of unwanted critters. Poodles poodled.
Gunner and Corky, my grandparents’ labs, were loyal and always eager to please. Molly, our Brittany Spaniel, was a champion at finding pheasants in the field. I dreamed of being pulled by a pack of Huskies, racing in the Iditarod…White Fang and Old Yeller.
My first dog as an adult, Gus, flipped the script for me. An English Bulldog with no modern purpose besides drooling everywhere, sleeping on top of the sheets, and being undefeated in races up stairs, he was truly my best friend and he taught me so much about consistency, companionship and responsibility.

My background in pet nutrition inspired me to create healthy, nourishing treats that dogs genuinely love— and that we, as their humans, can feel proud to give them. Watching my own dogs light up over our formulas has filled my heart with pure delight.
My love for dogs started when I was five years old with Muffy the Sheepdog, my loyal and protective best pal and it’s only grown with every dog I’ve met since. These days, I share my life with three amazing dogs: a spirited 2-year-old Husky, a wise 14-year-old mutt, and a 13-year-old angel from heaven. They’re our official taste testers, and they approve every recipe with a howl, a bark, and a smirk. Anyone who’s ever loved and lost a fur baby knows how much we’d do to give them more time, more health, more joy. That’s what drives Lappe. If our treats can help support wellness and longevity for even one dog, then we’ve done our job.
Creating Lappe has been the perfect blend of everything I love— design, community, and dogs. My background in branding and entrepreneurship has always been about telling meaningful stories and building things that bring people (and now pups!) together. Lappe is an extension of that creative spirit combining thoughtful design with genuine care and a mission to give dogs the same nourishment and love we give ourselves.
My love for dogs runs deep. My first dog, a rescue silver miniature poodle— became my best friend when I was in 3rd grade the one I insisted I needed before we moved. She stayed by my side for 18 years, right up until my college graduation. Years later, when I moved to Los Angeles, I found Petey, a resilient Staffy mix who had been hit by a car and left to heal. I fostered him through surgery and recovery, but he quickly became family. For 13 beautiful years, Petey was my steady constant through every life changes—loyal, loving, and pure hearted. I’m endlessly grateful that my son got to know him, spending his first year snuggled up by his side.
